Dear brothers and sisters:

I have been thinking about possible restructuring of the ministry of Mandarin Congregation. This is part of the process of forming the new coworkers for the coming year for the congregation. What I have in mind is

  • What are the areas our congregation should cover?
  • Each area doesn’t mean just one person to work on. Similarly, some people may involve in more than one areas.
  • Who are the available resources and manpower in our congregation?
  • What’s the best way to put most people into “work” to make our congregation a
  • Can we group them into some main departments?
  • How can we operate more efficiently?
  • Can we minimize the number of coworker meetings without compromising the coordination of different departments. The most important responsibility for coworkers is to carry out their duty not just to attend meetings.
  • How can we have a group of coworkers having proactive attitude and initiate tasks?

Above are just some sample of thinking running in my head. Unfortunately, there are too many things going on in parallel and I didn’t have as much time as I like to have to have a thorough analysis and planning.

I like to ask your help to  review the following list. I am not satisfy with the list I have come up with so far.

  • First, I may have miss some areas. Please identify any areas that you think should be on list
  • I am not happy with how I categorize them. For example, I feel “Retreat” probably should not under 節目 department. It probably better put under 關懷牧養.

Basically, I like to see our congregation is more people-oriented and not program-oriented. I prefer we minimize the resources allocated to tasks but more to people.

Please review the following preliminary list and give me any feedback and suggestions. I desperately need your inputs. I also like to request that you pray for yourself and seeking guidance from the Lord to see how you can serve Him at this place.
