Dear All:
We will have Mandarin coworker meeting. It will be in open-floor format and everyone is welcome to join. This congregation belongs to all of us and I like to invite your participation.
A question commonly asked is who are coworkers. In the past, we have a clear cut of who are and who are not coworkers. I intentionally to make this boundary blurred. Generally speaking, I hope each and everyone of you consider you are a coworker. This congregation belongs to all of us and let’s work together to make things happened and glorify His name at this place. From a practical operation consideration, we cannot always call big meetings to make decision. Depending on the nature of issues, we will have smaller group of people involved in dealing with various issues. On some cases, we may even need to have close door meetings to discuss sensitive issues. However, I like to minimize those occasions. I feel a transparent operation can enhance participations from all levels.
The coming coworker meeting on 2/25 will have following issues on the agenda. We plan to start at 1:15PM at the second floor of the Education Hall.
It will proceed as below:
Opening session (prayer … etc.)
Congregation general status report - Peter Tsai
Fellowship report - Debra Tsai, Jack H., Justin Kao
Finance Issues - Maria
Education and Sunday School - Sandy
Caring ministry (Status report and discussion on how to do even better) - Jessie
Pastoral Searching Status and plan for the year - Parker (Peter will report for Parker because Parker is on business trip)
Retreat preparation (place, time, speaker, format) - Sandy/Peter
Mission: We have $3000 mission budget we need to identify the individual and organization for our congregation to support and care - Kai-Feng/Peter
Special motion(s) - every one
If you think there is anything need to be included in the meeting, please feel free to let me know. I intend to cut the meeting short. It always has been longer than I like to . Therefore, I’ll avoid getting into discussion on technical details.
Mark your calendar and prepare your heart for it.
Peter Tsai
